WHAT’S NEW

WEDNESDAY: There is an Artist Talk with Visiting Artist Kristina Paabus today at 4:30 pm, at the Schneider Hall Galleries on the University of Louisville campus.

THURSDAY: The 2026 Art in City Hall exhibit has opened, and three of the artists, Dawn Della Bella, Tim O’ Connell, & Matthew Hagan, join us in the studio this week. Tune into Artists Talk with LVA on WXOX 97.1 FM at 10 AM.

SATURDAY: Home Now opens at Worldwide Showcase Gallery today with a reception from 4 - 8 pm. The exhibit features the work of Cuban-born artists Andy Llanes Bulto, Carlos Gamez de Francisco, Hiram Hernandez, Humberto Lahera, Julio Cesar Rodriguez, & Pedro Roque.

SATURDAY: Sarah Jane Castellon’s MFA Thesis Exhibition for the University of Louisville, Poke opens with a reception tonight from 5-8 pm at the MFA Gallery on Rowan Street.

SUNDAY: Elle Hendrickson’s "They seemed neither, and yet both" opens today at The Quonset Hut, with a reception from 4 - 6 pm.

SUNDAY: Tonight at 6 pm, Dimensions of Faith presents Bob Hower & Ted Wathen discussing the Kentucky Documentary Photographic Project at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church.

21c Museum Hotel Louisville opened a new exhibition, Revival: Digging Into Yesterday, Planting Tomorrow. The exhibition features 70 works of art by 47 artists from around the world.

Wheelhouse Art presents an Elissa Rose Morley solo exhibition at The Wine Room.

Where Memory Lives: New Paintings by Nancy Wentzel & Charlotte Pollock, opened at The Meadows Gallery in The Masonic Home.

The Hite Institute of Art + Design opened, Maybe Kudzu Covering My Body: Camouflage in the South, tonight at The Cressman Center. A group exhibition featuring work by borealis, Jacob Riddle, Katie Hargrave & Meredith Laura Lynn, Max Trumpower, Elle Hendrickson, Raymond Thompson & more.

Black Girls, Butterflies, & the Magic of Dreams opened at the Kentucky Center for African American Heritage.

The Cultural Arts Center in New Albany is showing Estuary: a Staff and Community Artist Showcase. This exhibit features the artwork of Floyd County Library and Cultural Arts Center staff artists Josh Bleecker, Al Gorman, Jessica Hartman, Bethany Parrish, and Daniel Vance, as well as Fred DiGiovanni, Hannah Durham, and Matt McDermott of the museum’s Artists Roundtable Feedback Group.
