Join us for the hometown premiere of LVA Hadley Prize grantee, PINBALL, on July 26th at 12:30pm at the Flyover Film Festival at the Speed Cinema. In a contemplative coming of age portrait, PINBALL follows Yosef, a spirited athlete, in Louisville as he dives into the memories of his journey from Iraq to America and what it means to chase his dreams in the shadow of a war that displaced his family from their Iraqi homeland. Louisville-based filmmakers, director Naveen Chaubal and producer Bryn Silverman, will be in attendance for a Q+A. PINBALL was also supported by the Sundance Institute, Ford Foundation, the Center for Asian American Media, Gold House, and Film Independent among others. PINBALL premiered in March at the prestigious True/False Film Festival where the Wall Street Journal called it "genuine artistic poise" and Collider named it one of the Top 5 documentaries of the fest.
