Executive Director - Dr. Angela Hagan grew up in southeastern Illinois, but claims Louisville as her adopted hometown after moving here in 1997. Her entire academic and career path, which has never taken her far from the Ohio River Valley, has related to the ecosystem that supports healthy, vibrant, thriving communities.

Angela holds a B.A. in economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and earned both her Master of Public Administration (public policy focus) and Ph.D. in Urban and Public Affairs from the University of Louisville. (Fun fact: Her father, Ron Stallings, is also a UofL alumnus, and played on the 1972 Final Four Cardinal Basketball team.)

 For over a decade, she worked in leadership functions including development, marketing and communications, and community engagement for nonprofit organizations focused on affordable and fair housing, education, youth development, and art (KMAC Museum) before spending a decade at Louisville-based Fortune 60 health plan Humana, where she led functions  and teams in member engagement and community health strategy and insights.

 Outside of work, a former fencer, she squeezes in some rowing practice as a member of the Louisville Rowing Club, enjoys visiting museums and galleries and collecting art, and supports her husband Ken in his bourbon business.

Development Manager - Kayla Bischoff is an arts administrator and visual artist with more than a decade of experience supporting the arts community in her hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. An alumna of LVA’s Children’s Fine Art Classes, Kayla brings both personal and professional passion to her role, deeply committed to advancing LVA’s mission to nurture youth art education and professional artist development.

As Development Manager at Louisville Visual Art, Kayla enjoys connecting people with causes they care about and helping to grow the organization’s impact. In August 2025, she completed her Masters Degree (MA) in Arts Administration and also earned a Graduate Certificate in Fundraising & Development from the University of Kentucky. During her graduate studies, she was honored with the 2024 Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship from Zonta Club International District 5.

In addition to her administrative work, Kayla is a nationally exhibited, award-winning painter. She holds a BA in Studio Art from Bellarmine University and is a two-time recipient of the Great Meadows Foundation’s artist professional development grant, which supported her attendance at Art Basel Miami and the Venice Biennale. Her own artistic journey fuels her empathy for the challenges artists face and continues to inspire her career in arts administration.

Manager of Finance and Administration -Wilfred Bentley serves as the Manager of Finance and Administration at Louisville Visual Art (LVA). Reporting directly to the Executive Director, he oversees LVA's financial health and operational infrastructure, managing core accounting functions, fund accounting, cash flow, financial reporting, and administrative compliance to advance the organization's mission across Greater Louisville.

Bentley brings an extensive background in executive financial management, lending, and banking operations to LVA. He previously served as Chief Finance and Lending Officer at Tenfold, as well as Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Finance Officer for Tenfold Community Lending, a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. In these roles, he guided strategic growth, daily operations, and affordable housing investment initiatives. His prior leadership experience also included serving as Chief Operating Officer of a minority-owned community bank in Chicago, managing bank operations departments, and directing commercial lending and branch network operations.

A native of Detroit, Michigan, Bentley has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and a Master’s in Business Administration from Wayne State University. A dedicated civic leader and veteran, Bentley is a two-term past National President of the Urban Financial Services Coalition, a former board member for the National Court Appointed Special Advocate Association, and an Army veteran. He is also a life member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Bentley is married to the Rev. Dr. Vanessa Lovelace, and together they have three adult children and one grandchild. Wilfred and Vanessa enjoy sports, music, dance, art, and travel.

Education Director - Annette Cable grew up in the country outside of Columbus, Ohio and graduated from the Columbus College of Art and Design. As an illustrator, she has worked for commercial clients all around the country, including having illustrated 20 children’s picture books to date. She has worked for LVA off and on for many years, has been a CFAC teacher, an Open Doors teacher, and a Summer Camp coordinator and teacher.
Her non-profit experience continues with her work with many local museums and historic landmarks, including the Portland Museum for the past 25 years. From her drawing board and computer screen creating book illustrations to large wall murals, art classrooms and community centers, creativity, community and education encompass her teaching philosophy.

Development & Marketing Coordinator - Colleen Gates is a Louisville native with a lifelong passion for art in all its forms. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Arts Administration from Bellarmine University in 2022 and will complete her Master's in Arts Administration at the University of Kentucky in December 2026.

Before joining LVA, Colleen spent three years as an art teacher, work that reinforced her belief in art as a way to connect with others and give back to her community. She is especially drawn to the way art can tell stories, and she believes everyone deserves the chance to express themselves creatively, in whatever form that takes.

Marketing Coordinator - Taylor Sanders earned a BFA in Interdisciplinary Sculpture with a minor in African American Studies from Spalding University in 2019. She began working for LVA in 2021 as a CFAC teacher and joined the LVA staff as a Marketing Coordinator in 2023 while continuing to be a CFAC teacher.

Taylor is an installation and sculpture artist who is a recipient of the Great Meadows Foundation grant and exhibited nationally and locally in galleries 21C Museum Hotel, KMAC Contemporary Art Museum and The Moremen Gallery. The purpose of her work is to confront racial and social issues through appropriated everyday items with installation. With no specific medium, her main focus is integrating found three-dimensional objects with multiple sculptural processes, techniques and materials while addressing relevant topics in history and in today’s society. Operations Director - Born and raised in Louisville, Keith Waits has been involved with the LVA off-and-on since the late 1980s, eventually joining LVA as Facility Manager in 2006. Now he is curator and works primarily on artist’s engagement, managing the LVA Gallery and hosting Artists Talk with LVA each week on WXOX 97.1 FM/Artxfm.com.

Keith studied Fine Art at three institutes of higher learning, including the Louisville School of Art. He has also been involved with Walden Theatre, including support work in set design and construction and managing the operation of a visual art exhibition space at the Theatre. Keith has also worked professionally as a Manager and Purchaser in retail bookselling.

In addition to his work at the LVA, Keith was for more than 10 years the Managing Editor of a website, www.arts-louisville.com, which covered local visual arts, theatre, and music in Louisville.

Program Specialist - Elite Waller earned a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art, with a concentration in painting, from the University of Louisville in 2021. She is currently pursuing her MA in Critical and Curatorial Studies at the University of Louisville. In 2023, she joined the Louisville Visual Art (LVA) team as an Education Program Specialist and began working as a CFAC teacher in 2024.

Her artistic practice is defined by a passion for abstraction, particularly in oil painting, where she explores the intricate shapes and forms found in botanical subjects. She also expresses her creativity through wood sculpture, carving feminine figures from this natural medium. Her work has been exhibited at the Hite Art Institute MFA Studio & Galleries. Continuously evolving as an artist, Waller is currently expanding her practice to include more sculptural and mixed media works, engaging with narratives that shed light on the experiences of marginalized communities. Her artistic purpose is to cultivate discourse, empathy, and understanding among diverse audiences.

Development and Administrative Operations Coordinator - Savannah Morris grew up in New Jersey and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at Fordham University at Lincoln Center in 2019. She decided to study Art History after being inspired by her visits to museums such as the MoMA and The Whitney in New York, which sparked her keen interest in modern and contemporary painting and photography. During her studies, she began interning at an art gallery in New York City and continued working there after graduating. In 2020, she moved to The Hague, The Netherlands, and lived there for four years. In 2024, she made the move back to the US and decided to settle in Louisville, where her father and stepmother live. She is currently pursuing a Master’s (MA) in Arts Administration at the University of Kentucky.   

In her free time, Savannah enjoys visiting galleries and museums, spending time with her dog, knitting, and practicing yoga.

Security Manager - Born in Spain, the early years of Pickle remain shrouded in mystery—some say raised by street cats, others by monks. He was whisked away to The Netherlands, where betrayal struck: after two years, his family cast him aside.

Enter Savannah. Their meeting was destiny. He was underweight, half-feral, and full of rotten teeth, but to her, he was perfection. Soon, another villain appeared: glaucoma. Despite endless eye drops, his vision faded. One eye gone… then the other. Still, Pickle endured—pirate king of resilience.

In 2024, Pickle and Savannah sailed back to America. He landed a job at Louisville Visual Art, but only on one condition: his mother must be hired too. Naturally, management obeyed.

Now, at ten glorious years, Pickle lives as a legend. He loves sausage and cheese, despises water and storms, and communicates not with a bark but with a blood-curdling scream. His breath may reek of rotten eggs, but his heart? Pure gold.
