Studio 2000


Studio 2000 is a partnership between Louisville Metro Parks and LVA. Studio 2000 allows high school students who are interested in pursuing visual art as a career to have the opportunity to work with professional artists in clay, fiber & mixed media while also receiving a $500 stipend at the end of the eight-week session. The program culminates with a public exhibition and sale at the end of the summer that brings proceeds back to Studio 2000 to support future programming. 

The application peroid for summer 2016 is now closed.

Studio 2000 will be offered this summer from June 13 through August 4, 2016 on Monday, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Shawnee Arts & Cultural Center, 607 South 37th Street.  Student’s ages 14 to 18 that are interested in pursuing visual art as a career will have the opportunity to work with professional artists in clay, fiber & mixed media and receive a $500 stipend at the end of the eight-week program.
