Tara Remington

Tara Remington is a multi-media professional artist and art teacher spanning 20 years. Her formal training is from Ringling School of Art and Design- Sarasota, Florida and Portfolio Center- Atlanta, Georgia; both in graphic design and photography.
Remington has worked on with the Louisville Visual Art Association, including numerous projects with Maryhurst including an Open Doors project where she designed and created an 18ft diameter labyrinth with the Mayrhurst girls, funded by The Norton Foundation. She has also led a large art mural and installation project with Open Doors about AIDS to support a local production of Larry Kramer's 1980's play "The Normal Heart" at the Land of Tomorrow gallery in late 2010.
She lives with her two daughters, dogs, cats and birds in Louisville's Germantown area and is developing a program called eco.mania-- an innovative art making program honoring our environment. She believes that everyone can benefit from creativity as a tool for self growth and inspiration. |
