Alley mural (#2) at Neighborhood House with artist Natalie Anne Dye
This was a continuation of the mural completed by artist Natalie Anne Dye, in which children and adults from the center and from the neighborhood created a colorful mural themed with vegetables, fruits and healthy eating. The first mural was such a success that it seemed only necessary to continue the initial mural wall around the corner and onto 25th Street, facing out into the neighborhood.
The previously unpainted wall was very uninviting and the whole neighborhood has been thrilled to see the colorful transformation. The final product of the project was a mural that was visible to the entire neighborhood and has changed the atmosphere of the area. This mural helps to display the positive things that are going on within the Neighborhood House to the rest of the community.
