Experimental 3D Art
Experimental 3D Art establishes a working knowledge of materials and technical processes associated with three-dimensional design. Students will produce traditional and nontraditional forms individually and within a group setting using a variety of different media. Experimental techniques and installations are encouraged, stimulating students to use their imagination, creativity and to conceptualize ideas in new ways. The curriculum provides an understanding of high and low relief, positive and negative space, texture, mass, volume, balance, and scale. An examination of historical/cultural artwork, aesthetics, and purposes will correspond to assignments.
