What do you hope your students take away from your class?
I want my students to leave my class with a love of art, and the confidence in their skills and ability to create artwork with which they are proud. I want them to learn the tools they need in order to express their ideas and vision. I also want them to be able to speak confidently about their artwork. One of the most important things I want them to do is to leave every class with a smile and a sense of pride in their accomplishments.
What is your favorite thing to teach and why?
I love to teach color. I enjoy having the students gain knowledge in how colors work together. Not only do I like to teach the fundamentals of how colors work, but also the feelings they can convey through the power of color.
