High School Portfolio Review
Louisville, KY -- The Louisville Visual Art Association is pleased to invite high school students who demonstrate outstanding talent in the visual arts to apply for the Children's Fine Art Classes program High School Division. Admission to this program is by invitation, following a review of student portfolios. Children's Fine Art Classes is a competitive program. Admission is strictly limited to 12 students per High School Division CFAC studio class, and 10 students in the Advanced and Academy classes.

Portfolio Review Sites

December 10, 2011 10:00am-2:00pm at the Water Tower

What students should include in their portfolio:
The portfolio should demonstrate the breadth of the student's talents and past experiences. We recommend that students include at least 10 pieces of 2-dimensional work covering a range of drawing and painting challenges.

Those who wish to enter the CFAC Academy sculpture class should bring small examples or photos of 3-D work. Anyone can apply to the sculpture class, even without 3-D experience.

Sketches, studies and incomplete work can be included. If students keep a sketchbook, they are encouraged to bring it along.

Spring Semester 2012 CFAC Studio High School Classes will meet at Fern Creek High School, Kentucky School of Art, Indiana University Southeast, the Louisville Water Tower, Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church and the University of Louisville. Advanced Painting and Academy Sculpture will be offered at the LVAA Water Tower site only.
