, the Louisville Visual Art Association’s year-long citywide centennial celebration, was launched on January 13 at an event which included a proclamation by Mayor Jerry Abramson’s office as “2009 Year of the Visual Arts.”
Numerous visual art classes, exhibits and art-driven communications are being brought to life throughout 2009 by LVAA staff, Board of Directors, volunteers and community partners to demonstrate the power and importance of the visual arts.
A key program, Artebella Daily, reaches out to thousands of viewers through a daily web-based email message that displays a single work of art by a Louisville-area artist. Creatively designed and singular in its purpose, Artebella Daily is a “no effort” goodwill visual message offered as a daily gift to persons in the workplace, at home or on their “first screen” PDA.
High-quality art images will be displayed with minimal copy, with a link to information about the artist. Images are voluntarily submitted by artists to be considered for placement. The LVAA staff and design team will curate this five-day-a-week (Monday-Friday) program.
Artebella Daily is a Web-based communication that will feature the artwork of local visual artists, and be distributed via e-mail. Keep checking out website for more information about how to receive and submit your work for Artebella Daily.
