The quiet, dark, and subtle variations in my work are inspired from ideas of time and the natural weathering within my surroundings.

David Peters, an Artist in Residence at the Archie Bray Foundation writes, I grew up watching my mother sew quilts and my father build cabinets.

Early on I realized a deep satisfaction from the integration of beauty and daily life.  This led me to study ceramics and receive my bachelor of fine arts from Utah State University.  My work is rooted in both the historical wares of East Asia and my appreciation of the natural beauty of clay.

The intention of their first collaboration was to make a table setting that compliments the food and tastefully enhances the meal.  By utilizing the contrasting elements of their work, they sought to create a sense of variety and balance, allowing the pieces to work together without changing their own individual styles.
