Tracee Dore Interior Design
Growing up in Michigan, Tracee Dore Brown’s passion for design began as a teenager working hand in hand with her father in his highly respected construction company. His drive for hard work and quality design and construction was instilled in Dore Brown while actually learning on his job sites and with clients. While studying interior design at the University of Kentucky, Dore Brown was hired by one of her father’s clients to design their custom home. That year, and only 21 years old, she started Tracee Dore Interior Design. Since then, she joined the design firm Hubbuch & Co. for a couple of years and then reopened her own business in Louisville. In addition to a full clientele, Brown has three children and a wonderfully supporting husband, Matt.
After only fourteen years in practice, Dore Brown has quite an extensive resume. Besides having clients on every coastline, she has also worked on recognized international projects. Her jobs have been exhibited in Better Home and Gardens, Today’s Woman Magazine, Sophisticated Living, and Louisville Magazine. In 2008, Southern Living Magazine will showcase some of her work. Today’s Woman Magazine has recognized Dore Brown over the past two years as one of the Most Admired Women in Louisville and Southern Indiana. Just recently, along with Huber Décor, Dore Brown finished the design and renovation of Kentucky’s most well respected racehorse sales pavilion in Lexington, Fasig-Tipton. Last year, in addition to her design firm, Dore Brown started her life-long dream of designing, renovating, and building fine custom homes, just as her father did. Awards presented to her include being one of the top designers in Homearama 2005, runner up in the Chicago Tribune International Design Competition, and the Mayor’s Beautification Award for an exterior renovation in Dayton, Ohio.
