Laura C. Busse

Reese Design Collaborative

As a commercial interior designer for more than five years, Laura C. Busse enjoys the process of creating beautiful spaces for clients, ranging from banks and corporations to churches and senior living environments. Busse is a native to Louisville and began exploring her creative talents in middle school through the Children’s Free Art Classes (CFAC) at the Louisville Visual Art Association. After a brief detour in the accounting profession, she completed her graduate studies in Interior Design with an emphasis on color at the University of Kentucky. In addition to color, Busse is passionate about the environment and implementing sustainable design practices with a clean aesthetic. Her work focuses on expanding spaces, enhancing architecture, improving the quality of life, and inspiring those interacting with her work to become more productive. Busse’s work is impacted by her family and her travels abroad. As an interior designer at Reese Design Collaborative for nearly three years, she enjoys the team environment and is also actively involved in the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) as the Co-Director of the Louisville/Lexington City Center. Excerpts of her thesis will be published in a textbook, Color Planning for Interiors in 2008-2009.
